Don’t save me a seat on Valentine’s.
I have had my fill of nights where the wine is uncorked and only half drunk.
When you end up looking back at the evening past.
Remembering only dry kisses and cold embraces.
Let’s leave the candle-lit dinners behind us.
The candles will soon melt away and so will the chocolate.
All the rose petals bleed on to the roads.
They take us to our spot under stars.
And leave me with the grass stains that never fade…
